I sit down, every eye is on me. CRUNCH, tears start running down my face and the room explodes into laughter. The sensation was to much to handle, it was better than I ever imagined. The combination of the perfect meat, cheese, ketchup, pickles and fresh toasted bread was one of those feelings I will never forget. Plus the unforgetable sweet tea. It was the first time I teared up for food being so good. Whataburger will never be the same.

On May 22nd, 2012 I said my last good byes in South East Asia and headed home. It was so hard to leave because I made so many close friends. I have so many memories from the ten months I was there but the most precious were with a man named "Kam" and "Bass". Kam was struggling with alcohol and depression. He worked so hard and slept little as he tried to replace God with drinking and money. My Brazilian friend and I began to hang out with him and prayed for him over and over again. We started walking him through the bible, worshiping together, and telling him how God has changed our lives. After a couple months, he went forward in church and gave his life to Jesus. We were super excited and his life started to change drasticly. A few months went by and he decided that work was more important than our bible studies. He started avoiding us and his friends told us that he went back to some of his habits. I have been still praying and giving him words of encouragement on the internet but please pray that he continues his walk loving the Lord and those around him.

Bass was one of my best friends, outside of our office. He used his car to make a living for his family and grew up worshiping idols. My sister started a study in their home because his wife became a follower of Jesus and was extremely passionate about her decision. At first, Bass would go to our bible studies but not really participate. It was like he was hesatant becuase he had fear of the unknown. His wife was all in and needed a husband to love and encourage her in her walk. I prayed and prayed for Bass. In early May, His wife went to go get baptized out in a village and Bass went a long. When she came out of the water, Bass said "that is all you have to do?" It surprised him and it proved that he was a little scared to be baptized. A few weeks later, I left for the states and my leaving preasent was a beautiful picture of Jesus holding out his arms on the cross and saying that he loves you this much. Spreading out his arms, he died. That really meant a lot to me becuase through the language barrier, Bass knew that Jesus loved him. When I left, I gave him my bible and wrote all my favorite verses on a sheet of paper. A month or two after I returned home, my sister sent me a message that said that Bass became a follower of jesus and that his life has completely changed.
Pray that God puts some strong believers in Bass's life to encourage him and ignite a flame that will over flow into other nations and change lives for an eternity.

Thank you so much for all your prayers and providing financial support for my trip. I pray that we all continue to give and that many more people follow Gods will instead of their own. My whole perspective has changed and I have learned that I should love every single person on this earth. I learned that life is a ministry! do whatever you do for the Glory of God and to spread His Kingdom. Please continue to pray for my sister who is still serving over seas and pray that every believer, on the earth, gets out their doors and spreads the gospel on a regular basis.

I have been to six camps this summer and still have one more next week. Please pray for all the six graders who are going and for their families. Also I will be going to Lonestar community college this fall, pray that I do Gods plan and continue to talk about Him to all my friends.

Taj Mahal and Elephant ride

It took 22 years for the Taj Mahal to be fully constructed.
This is one of the four towers surrounding the Taj. They look straight but they are actually leaning outwards outwards. They were afraid that earthquakes would happen and the towers would fall on the beautiful Taj Mahal.

This is the famous one horned rhino
We watched the sun rise on top of an elephant.

It breaks my heart what some people go through here.
This guy was directing traffic with a purple shirt and in a towel...
This is my guard, he keeps me safe and really enjoys fruit cake
This is the gardener, he is a super hard worker and laughs at my language.

I took a friend to the zoo and gave him my favorite book. He said he would read it and I can't wait to ask him what he thinks.

The two pictures above were taken during Dewali, the celebration of light. Candles are everywhere and firecrackers are shot off constantly for two days straight.

The two pictures above were taken outside of a huge shopping center. This crushed metal was a food court until the government found out they weren't paying taxes.
